"The financial services industry is the perfect market to adopt the on-demand, Enterprise 2.0 model, because it is global, information-intensive, and hypercompetitive," said Steve Papermaster, Chairman and CEO of BSG Alliance, in New York today as he announced the launch of BSG Alliance's financial services initiative under the leadership of Thomas M. Steinthal and the opening of its New York City office.
Steinthal, who will serve as Managing Director of BSG Alliance's financial services team, has eighteen years of capital markets technology experience.
"With our team's deep roots with Wall Street and the Enterprise 2.0 strategy, software, and delivery capability of BSG, we believe we are bringing something very unique to the financial services industry," Steinthal commented. "BSG will bring together a comprehensive set of services including strategic frameworks, on-demand application technologies, expert financial services industry acumen, and experienced web 2.0 software development technologists, critical to the future competitiveness of any financial services industry leader," he added.
Recognized as an industry expert in the areas of equities, electronic capital markets, regulatory compliance, straight-through processing enablement, IT audit and operational risk, Steinthal was prior to joining BSG Alliance founder and president of a financial services consulting organization with clients including Lazard Freres, ADP, and the Griswold Company. He has also worked with in-house IT and trading staffs at firms such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette.
"BSG Alliance is very excited about the feedback we are getting from the marketplace, from companies seeking further innovation and time-to-market advantage. We believe BSG's transformational approach is a perfect match and we are very pleased that Tom Steinthal has joined us to lead BSG's financial services initiative," said Papermaster.
